Hudson Prince Engineering & Inspection supported the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) in delivering NEPA clearance for the SH-51 and Muskogee Turnpike (SH-351) interchange project in Wagoner County, Oklahoma. This project includes development of a new interchange and approximately 0.85 miles of connector roadway to improve regional mobility between Broken Arrow and Coweta and enhance connectivity within the regional transportation network.

Hudson Prince prepared a Documented Categorical Exclusion (DCE), leading the environmental evaluation of multiple alignment alternatives and supporting selection of the preferred corridor along S. 273rd East Avenue. The NEPA process included coordination of environmental studies, impact assessments, and agency consultation to evaluate potential effects to cultural resources, noise, environmental justice populations, and natural resources.
The project included a robust public involvement effort with multiple stakeholder and public meetings to support alternative evaluation and community input. Based on the comprehensive environmental review and coordination, the project qualified as a DCE, allowing it to advance efficiently into design. This project highlights Hudson Prince’s ability to manage complex NEPA processes involving alternatives analysis, public engagement, and multi-agency coordination.
