Hudson Prince Engineering & Inspection provided environmental services for the SH-76 corridor improvements in McClain County, Oklahoma, including detailed waters, wetlands, and biological investigations supporting NEPA clearance. The project spans approximately 4.5 miles between Blanchard and Newcastle and includes roadway widening, bridge replacements, and intersection improvements along a rapidly growing corridor.
Hudson Prince conducted a comprehensive jurisdictional waters and wetlands delineation, integrating desktop analysis with field verification of soils, vegetation, and hydrologic indicators. The study identified four (4) likely jurisdictional streams and nine (9) non-jurisdictional features, with delineation forms, mapping, GIS data, and photographic documentation prepared in accordance with regulatory standards. The report was approved by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and supported subsequent permitting considerations.
Biological investigations included evaluation of threatened, endangered, and candidate species, as well as designated critical habitat, migratory birds, and bald eagle presence. Hudson Prince completed habitat assessments, bridge and culvert bat evaluations, and a detailed effects analysis, culminating in an ESA Section 7 effect determination used in coordination with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. This integrated approach ensured regulatory compliance while supporting efficient project advancement.
