CI 2436 – Oklahoma County – Oklahoma River Bridge

ODOT

Hudson Prince Engineering & Inspection is providing environmental services for a proposed pedestrian bridge over the Oklahoma River in Oklahoma City, including waters, wetlands, and biological evaluations in support of NEPA documentation and federal permitting requirements. The project enhances multimodal connectivity across the river and requires coordination with multiple regulatory agencies due to its location within a levee system.

Hudson Prince conducted jurisdictional waters evaluation confirming the Oklahoma River as a perennial, likely jurisdictional water, with no additional aquatic features identified within the study area. The analysis incorporated desktop review and field verification of hydrologic conditions, soils, and vegetation, with supporting documentation including delineation forms, mapping, and GIS data approved by ODOT.

Biological studies included assessment of threatened and endangered species, designated critical habitat, migratory birds, and bald eagle presence. Hudson Prince completed habitat evaluations, bridge-related bat assessments, and an ESA Section 7 effects analysis to support coordination with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. These efforts, combined with Section 4(f) and Section 408 coordination, supported development of an Environmental Assessment and advancement of this high-visibility urban infrastructure project.
