Hudson Prince Engineering & Inspection provided comprehensive utility coordination and relocation management services for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) as part of roadway improvements along US-77 and US-60B in Kay County, Oklahoma. The project included approximately 2.85 miles of grading, drainage, and surfacing improvements through the Tonkawa area.
Hudson Prince supported the project from design through construction by identifying utility conflicts, developing a detailed Utility Conflict Matrix, and preparing cost estimates for impacted facilities. The team coordinated closely with ODOT, design consultants, and multiple utility owners to establish relocation strategies that aligned with project phasing and schedule requirements.
During preconstruction, Hudson Prince led field coordination efforts, including multi-day site meetings with utility owners to verify conflicts and finalize relocation plans. The team prepared preliminary and final utility relocation plans, managed proposal review and approvals, and facilitated issuance of work orders to initiate relocations.
Throughout construction, Hudson Prince maintained coordination between stakeholders, reviewed bid tabs, and supported contractor concurrence to ensure relocations were completed efficiently and in sequence with roadway construction. Their proactive approach helped minimize delays and ensured successful delivery of this multi-utility relocation effort.
