Hudson Prince Engineering & Inspection provided engineering design services for the replacement of the McElroy Road bridge over Stillwater Creek and associated roadway improvements in Payne County, Oklahoma. Located approximately 0.30 miles east of North Redlands Road, the project addressed a functionally obsolete and structurally deficient bridge along a key local route.
The existing facility consisted of an approximately 18-foot-wide gravel roadway with limited capacity and reduced structural reliability. The project was developed to replace the existing structure and improve the roadway approaches to enhance safety, durability, and long-term serviceability for the traveling public.
Hudson Prince provided comprehensive design services culminating in the development of complete Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E). The project required coordination of structural, roadway, and hydraulic design elements to ensure the new bridge and approaches met current standards while maintaining constructability and minimizing impacts. This effort supports Payne County in delivering critical infrastructure improvements that enhance connectivity and resilience within the local transportation network.
